Gyros

Ingredients
- 1 lb gound lamb
- 1 lb ground turkey or chicken
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 8 pitas or flat bread
- lettuce chopped
- tomatoes chopped
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cucumber seeded, peeled and chopped
- ¼ tsp dried mint leaf
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
Directions
- Heat oven to 400°
- Combine first 8 ingredients. Spray a 9 by 13 inch pan with oil or PAM. Flatten the meat into the pan so it is about 2 inches thick.
- Bake until brown and crisp on top.
- Prepare cucumber mint sauce by combining sour cream, yogurt, cucumber, mint, salt and pepper. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
- Fill flat bread or pitas with meat, tomatoes, lettuce and sauce.
